Visit of Archduke Franz Karl to Merano and the Passeier Valley

In July 1824, Archduke Franz Karl visited Merano, the Passeier Valley, and Castle Tyrol. Visit of Crown Prince Archduke Ferdinand to Merano and the Surrounding Area

In August 1823, Crown Prince Archduke Ferdinand visited the town of Merano and the surrounding villages of the Burggrafenamt and Vinschgau. The population welcomed the royal guest with illuminations, triumphal arches, and parades of Schützen and schoolchildren. During his stay, the Crown Prince visited the Passeier Valley, Schloss Tirol, the Partschins waterfall, and the construction site of the new Stelvio Pass road.

Award for Johann Hofer and Emperor's Birthday Celebration in St. Leonhard in Passeier
