Data processed
The public archive is accessible without an account. On every visit the hosting provider processes technically necessary access data: IP address, date and time, requested URL, amount of data transferred, browser type, and operating system. Terms you type into the archive search appear in the URL and therefore also in that access data. If an error occurs, a technical error report is created which may contain the same data.
No tracking
This archive uses no analytics or advertising services, no profiling, and no tracking cookies. That is why no cookie banner is shown. In the editorial area, which only the curator can reach, only technically necessary session cookies are set for signing in.

The following providers process data on our behalf in order to run the archive. Where data is transferred to third countries, this happens on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Legal basis
Access data and error reports are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in the secure and uninterrupted operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Sign-in data for the editorial area is processed to perform the usage relationship (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Retention
Access data and error reports are kept only as long as needed for operation and error analysis, after which the respective providers delete them. The archive content itself stays permanently public and contains no personal data of people living today.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise them, write to the contact address above. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian supervisory authority: Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, Rome.

This notice is updated whenever the processing or the providers involved change. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
