Service of Thanksgiving by Andreas Hofer's Widow in Passeier

Following the failed assassination attempt on the King of Hungary in Baden, Anna von Hofer, widow of Andreas Hofer, held a solemn service of thanksgiving in her house chapel in the Passeier Valley. Family members and household staff attended the service to give thanks for the monarch's deliverance.

Charitable Collection by Bolzano Summer Visitors on the Ritten

During their summer retreat on the Ritten, residents of Bolzano raised 150 florins for charitable causes through social games. The proceeds were handed over to the Imperial-Royal District Office to support the poor on the Ritten and an estate owner in Tschösens near Layen who lost everything to a lightning strike.
