Cancellation of Archduke John's Winter Stay in Meran
Archduke John has cancelled his planned winter cure stay in Meran for the current year. Instead, he will travel to Vienna to pay homage to Emperor Franz Joseph I and attend to administrative matters. A visit to Tyrol has been promised for the coming year.

— As is well known, H. R. H. Archduke John intended to spend this winter in Meran. We now learn from a reliable source that the Archduke — much as He would have wished for this stay so beneficial to His health — will not come to Tyrol this year, but will instead proceed to Vienna in about a month to pay homage to the young Emperor and settle various matters. A visit to Tyrol has, however, been held in prospect by the highly revered Archduke for the coming year.
