Bozen, 1 Oct. We are pleased to report that steps have now been taken here as well in the all-important railway question. Prompted by a representation by several citizens requesting that the matter be submitted to the citizens' committee for deliberation, as well as a communication received by the local magistrate from the Innsbruck magistrate regarding the resolutions passed there on 3 September, a meeting of the citizens' committee was held today, in which the following resolutions were adopted:

1. The esteemed ministry shall be requested, through appropriate channels and if necessary through a joint delegation of the cities involved, to have the railway from Verona to Bozen surveyed without delay by the imperial-royal engineers.

2. The esteemed ministry shall be requested to carry out the construction of the railway from Verona to Bozen using state funds.

3. The cities of Trient, Roveredo, and Verona shall be invited to accede to these resolutions and to participate in the delegation through their deputies. For this purpose, two deputies, Messrs Ignaz Baron v. Giovanelli and Franz Kofler, will travel to Trient and Roveredo and report to the citizens' committee in due course on the outcome of their mission.

4. The result of today's deliberation shall be communicated to the city of Innsbruck, requesting that the dispatch of a delegation to the ministry be postponed for the time being until further communication is received from Bozen. (Südt. Z.)
