Frankfurt, 20 Sept. On Monday the 16th of this month, the Bishop of Limburg arrived here to pay a return visit to the Catholic city parish priest, Mr. Beda Weber, and to confer with the church vestry regarding internal matters. It was primarily the long-pending lawsuit concerning the endowment on real estate that claimed his attention. Mr. Beda Weber had the honor of presenting the Bishop to His Imperial Highness the Archduke Vicar of the Empire. This morning the prelate left us again to return to Limburg. — The day before yesterday, a new Protestant church was dedicated in neighboring Hochheim. Two pastors from here had also traveled there. The Catholic parish of the small town had all bells rung on this occasion, the Catholic parish priest and his curate joined the procession in vestments, and the former delivered an excellent speech. So reports the Frankf. O. P. Z. Whether a Catholic priest could push indifferentism so far, we must doubt.
