Imperial Charitable Donations in Bolzano and Merano
Report on imperial donations granted during the Emperor's journey to Bolzano and Merano. In addition to support for the town's poor and staff at Castle Tirol, the main shooting guild in Merano was granted 500 florins.

According to later reports from that region, in Botzen and Meran as well, His Majesty the Emperor marked his imperial journey with acts of charity: in addition to numerous and substantial contributions to individual poor persons, he gifted 300 fl. to those of the town of Meran, 100 fl. to the castle chaplain at Tirol, 40 fl. to the gatekeeper, and further deigned to grant a special donation of 500 fl. C. M. to the main shooting stand in Meran.
