Closure of the Stelvio Pass Road to Carts and Carriages
The authorities announce that the new road from the Stelvio Pass to the plain of Prad is closed to carts and carriages due to ongoing construction work. For the time being, passage remains open only to pedestrians, horses, and the mail cart. The reopening will be announced at a later date.

Announcement.
In order that the work on the new road from the Stelvio Pass to the plain of Prad in Tyrol can be carried out with the necessary speed, it is necessary that, for the time being and until further notice, the hitherto tolerated passage of transport wagons and carriages, which merely causes an interruption of the work, cease entirely. The presidency of the Milan Gubernium, to which all arrangements for this road construction have been entrusted, has therefore felt prompted, starting from the 20th of this month, to close the passage for all wagons and carriages on the same, and to leave it open only for pedestrians and horses, as well as for the mail cart, by which the letter post—whose service is to begin on the 1st of the coming month of August—will be conveyed. This is brought to general notice with the addition that the reopening of the passage will be announced in due time.

Recognition for Promoters of the Elementary School System in 1824
The Tyrolean provincial authority publicly expresses gratitude to several figures from the Archdiocese of Salzburg and the Dioceses of Trento and Brixen for their special dedication to the elementary school system in 1824.
