Overview
In July 1825, authorities commended the dedication of clerical and secular figures, including Merano's dean Johann Nepomuk von Tschiederer, to elementary education. At the same time, ongoing construction work on the new road from the Stelvio Pass to Prad restricted passage for heavy carts and carriages.

Recognition for Promoters of the Elementary School System in 1824

The Tyrolean provincial authority publicly expresses gratitude to several figures from the Archdiocese of Salzburg and the Dioceses of Trento and Brixen for their special dedication to the elementary school system in 1824. Among those honored are the Dean of Merano, Johann Nepomuk von Tschiederer, as well as other clergy and lay supporters who provided schoolrooms, building plots, or financial funds.
