Journey of the innkeeper Jäger on the Wormser Straße
A report from Innsbruck provides details on the passability of the Wormser Straße. The innkeeper Jäger from Landeck made the journey with a two-horse carriage, carrying varying loads on different sections between Sondrio, Bormio, and Trafoi.

Innsbruck, June 27. Newer reports received from Mals (in Vintschgau) state, with reference to the report contained in No. 45 of our paper, that the innkeeper Jäger from Landeck undertook the journey on the Wormser Straße with a two-horse carriage, which on the return trip from Sondrio to Bormio was loaded with 32 Zentner; from Bormio to Trafoi, however, with only 8 Zentner.

Completion of the Road over the Wormser Joch
In May 1825, the road over the Wormser Joch was completed. Reaching an elevation of over 8,000 feet above sea level, the pass connects two territories of the Austrian Empire. Initial freight trips to transport southern fruits from Bormio and Sondrio have already commenced.
