Daily report.
Meran, May 12. As we gather from an invitation issued for the occasion, the local shooting range committee is organizing a splendid open shooting match in honor of His Royal Highness the most serene Archduke Johann and in memory of the “home match of Schönna” hosted by him last year, which will begin on the 31st of this month and last 4 days. The main prize is set at 18 convention thalers, and the wreath prize at 6 convention thalers with ornament. In its invitation, the committee reminds the marksmen of Tyrol of the festive days of last year's month of May, during which the beloved Archduke gathered his faithful marksmen around him, and concludes the appeal: Therefore we wish this year also to commemorate that celebration and its significance, and to assemble on the last day of May to join hands in peaceful arms-play in memory of our beloved Archduke Johann with the call: Marksmen of Tyrol, as ever, so now with God for Emperor and Fatherland!
