Departure of Beda Weber for Frankfurt
Report on the departure of former Meran gymnasium professor Beda Weber to assume his post as city parish priest in Frankfurt. The author laments the departure of this prominent figure from Tyrol and the failure to provide him with an appropriate position in his homeland.

Innsbruck, 12 June. Yesterday, Prof. Beda Weber departed from here to assume his future sphere of activity as city parish priest in Frankfurt. Although his previous post as a gymnasium professor in Meran was by no means adequate for such a worthy man, we must nonetheless lament his departure from our mountains all the more, having every reason to be sparing with men of his stature. It is regrettable that neither his narrower nor his broader homeland was able to grant him an appropriate and honourable post.
