The fourth and final part of the description of the surroundings of Merano is dedicated to the history of the Ladurner family and their ancestral farmstead. The uninterrupted family succession on the farmstead is documented for over five centuries. Furthermore, the historical coats of arms of the Ladurner family and their heraldic details are described in detail.

This 1822 excerpt describes the location, architecture, and eventful history of Tyrol Castle. Following its plundering and threatened demolition in 1808, the castle was repurchased in 1814 by the city of Meran, restored to the Emperor, and renovated.
