Completion of the Road over the Wormser Joch
In May 1825, the road over the Wormser Joch was completed. Reaching an elevation of over 8,000 feet above sea level, the pass connects two territories of the Austrian Empire. Initial freight trips to transport southern fruits from Bormio and Sondrio have already commenced.
