Daily Report.
Bozen, 29 October. From the most reliable source, we learn that the Senior Directorate of Construction in the Lombard-Venetian Kingdom has dispatched engineers for the necessary surveys regarding the construction of the railway from Verona to Bozen, instructing them to complete their work before the onset of winter so that the project may be drafted during the cold season. On the section from Verona to Ala, the surveys are directed by First Class Engineer Hieronimus Amat; on the section from Ala to Bozen, by First Class Engineer Marchese Gaspari Dalmegno; several engineers have been assigned to both.
At a time when the project for the Lukmanier railway is resurfacing with greater frequency, we are doubly pleased to hear that the state administration is earnestly committed to leading the iron tracks across the Alps on its part, thereby gaining a lead over those English plans.
