Continued Salary Payments for Officials Displaced from Lombardy-Venetia

Meran, 20 Sept. Following a letter to Court Commissioner Dr. Fischer, the Minister of Justice has received an assurance from the Minister of Finance that the officials expelled from the Kingdom of Lombardy-Venetia shall continue to receive their full salaries for a whole year from the date of their departure from service. The Minister of Justice simultaneously assured that he would give his full attention to this matter and pay the most careful consideration to the just claims of those unfortunate victims of the Italian affairs. Already now, in agreement with the Minister of Finance, he has obtained that the individuals on provisional assignment receive an appropriate salary supplement, and he hopes soon to be in a position to grant the salary hitherto received to all Italian judicial officials placed on availability status.

I have learned this news, which attests to the fairness of the Minister of Justice, directly from the lips of the Court Commissioner himself, and cannot resist the urge to bring it to general knowledge.
