Journey of the King of Saxony via Innsbruck to Merano
The King of Saxony arrived in Innsbruck on August 10, 1846, traveling incognito under the title of Count von Hohnstein. Following an overnight stay at the Gasthof zur goldenen Sonne, he resumed his journey to Meran the following morning.

Innsbruck, August 11. Yesterday evening at half past nine, His Majesty the King of Saxony arrived here from the Zillerthal accompanied by his entourage, travelling under the name of Count von Hohnstein, took up lodging at the Gasthof zur goldenen Sonne, and resumed his journey to Meran this morning at 7 o'clock.
