The railway from Milan to Monza, to be built exclusively at his own expense by the wealthy merchant from Botzen, Edler von Putzer, and already mentioned several times in our paper, will be completed in the coming spring. The works proceed quietly yet swiftly, bearing witness to the entrepreneur's tireless as well as discerning activity. — The body appointed by the government to examine more closely the plan for the railway connecting Milan with Venice has successfully accomplished its task, resulting in significant amendments and corrections to this preliminary estimate. There is every hope that work will soon commence on this magnificent undertaking as well. (Echo.)
