Warning Against the Use of Untinned Copper Cookware
Following a fatal poisoning incident in a South Tyrolean municipality, which caused the death of a two-and-a-half-year-old boy and severe illness in three others, a public warning is issued against using untinned copper cookware. The notice also recalls the official ban enacted in 1816.

Recently, namely on 27 June of this year, a tragic incident occurred in a South Tyrolean municipality in which three persons became critically ill from consuming food prepared in untinned copper cookware, and a two-and-a-half-year-old boy died suddenly as a result. This occurrence is therefore brought to public knowledge, with attention once again drawn to the prohibition issued generally in the year 1816 regarding the use of untinned copper utensils.
