Earthquake in Glurns
On 6 July 1834, a brief but strong earthquake occurred in Glurns in the early morning hours. Accompanied by a dull roar, the seismic event lasted approximately seven seconds, moving from west to east.

Glurns, 6 July. Today at 12:45 a.m., a strong earthquake was felt here, partly heralded and partly accompanied by a dull roar resembling a gale. It lasted about seven seconds and consisted of about ten tremors, apparently moving in a west-to-east direction.
