Celebration of the Imperial Birthday in Bozen
In Bozen, the Emperor's birthday was commemorated with cannon salutes, a solemn church service attended by the authorities, and festive toasts. In the evening, an amateur theatrical performance by local dignitaries raised 419 florins for the poor.

Bozen. The supreme birthday of His Majesty our most gracious Emperor was once again celebrated in this district town with the deepest joy and the most sincere participation. Early in the morning, mortar salutes and the tolling of bells near and far greeted the day of jubilee. The k. k. District Office together with all sovereign authorities, the k. k. military, the civic and mercantile magistrates, the gymnasium, and the school youth then attended the solemn divine service with an extraordinary multitude of people, to implore God Almighty in fervent prayer for the long preservation of His Majesty. At the festive dinner, toasts to the health and long life of His Majesty the Emperor, Her Majesty the Empress, and the entire most serene Imperial House were proposed amidst the loudest cheers. In the evening, under full wax illumination of the theatre, a theatrical performance for the benefit of the poor was given by an amateur society composed of the town's dignitaries, raising the considerable sum of 419 fl. On this occasion, following a prologue befitting the celebration of the day, the much-beloved anthem "Gott erhalte etc." was sung amidst the united and repeated cheers and vivats of the full house.

The latter included celebrations in Bolzano for the Emperor's birthday, which generated donations for those in need.
