Start of the grape harvest and wine prices in Bozen
Report from Bozen on the beginning of a promising grape harvest along the Adige in autumn 1825. In anticipation of a bountiful yield, local innkeepers have lowered the price of table wine.

Botzen, 28 Sept. The grape harvest in our regions on both sides of the Adige has already partially begun, and we can state with good reason that the current year is to be counted among the fruitful ones in terms of both the quantity and quality of the wine. The traveler may therefore soon no longer read to his astonishment the price of a Vienna Maß of good table wine in the inns of this town listed at 32 kr. R. W., which the fairness of the innkeepers has already reduced on its own initiative to 28 kr.
