Overview
In April 1847, the management of the geognostic-montanistic association for Tyrol and Vorarlberg presented detailed barometric and geognostic measurements for a planned railway line from Rosenheim via the Brenner Pass to Verona. The study analyzes the four sections in the Inn, Wipp, Eisack, and Adige valleys with regard to gradient, geological composition, and structural obstacles such as bottlenecks and flood-prone areas.
