Town of Meran (Merian) 1679
This illustration is a historical copperplate engraving of Meran from the "Topographia Provinciarum Austriacarum", published in 1679. The engraving is by Matthäus Merian and Martin Zeiller and shows the town shortly after the Thirty Years' War. The detailed view depicts the town of Merania with the Passer River and contains a key for identifying buildings.
