In October 1847, Archduke Johann travels from Trient via Bozen to Meran with his entourage. In Bozen, he takes lodgings at the Kaiserkrone inn.

Bozen, 19 Oct. Today at noon, His Imperial Highness Archduke Johann arrived here from Trient accompanied by his family, suite, and servants, took lodgings at the Kaiserkrone inn, and continued his journey to Meran early the following morning.
