Wine Auction at the Princely Thurn und Taxis Revenue Office in Merano
The Princely Thurn und Taxis Revenue Office in Merano announces a public auction of approximately 300 Yhren of red and white wine, as well as vinegar, for 16 May 1820. The notice lists the starting prices by quality class as well as the terms of payment and collection. The announcement is signed by revenue officer Franz Anton Tschohl.

Wine Auction.
At the Princely Thurn und Taxis Revenue Office in Merano, on the 16th of the coming month of May, from 8 to 11 a.m., about 300 Yhren of red and white wine, along with vinegar, will be sold to the highest bidder. The starting prices, below which no bid will be accepted, are fixed in Imperial Currency (R. W.) as follows:
For each Yhren of 1st class wine: 5 fl. 24 kr.
For each Yhren of 2nd class wine: 4 fl. 42 kr.
For each Yhren of 3rd class wine: 4 fl. 12 kr.
And for each Yhren of vinegar: 5 fl. 24 kr.
Conditions:
1. Bids must be made for an entire barrel; therefore, any division of such a barrel shall be at the buyer's expense. 2. At the auction, the buyer must pay a deposit of
2 fl. for each Yhren of wine and vinegar purchased, and settle the remainder of the debt upon collection, which must take place within 14 days of the auction at the latest.
